{"id":653,"date":"2014-01-07T18:09:21","date_gmt":"2014-01-07T18:09:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdi.thoughtstorms.info\/?p=653"},"modified":"2014-01-07T18:09:21","modified_gmt":"2014-01-07T18:09:21","slug":"outliners-wtf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.thoughtstorms.info\/?p=653","title":{"rendered":"Outliners, WTF?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alert readers of my <a href='http:\/\/sdi.thoughtstorms.info\/?p=645'>recent post on writing in wiki<\/a> who followed the link to the old <a href=\"http:\/\/sdi.thoughtstorms.info\/?p=359\">SDI Philosophy<\/a> post may have noticed that I said :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nOutliners are surprisingly bad for managing todo-lists.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\nSo what&#8217;s with OWL?\n<\/p>\n<p>\nWell, er &#8230; yes &#8230; the truth is, I <em>am<\/em> now using OWL very heavily. Pretty much every day. And I am putting to-do lists into it. All I can say is, it&#8217;s working really well for that. Possibly because I don&#8217;t try to keep everything in one big hierarchy. But have different pages for different aspects of my life. So the to-do lists are rarely more than 2 levels deep.
